Teen Safety Matters
Teen Safety Matters is a comprehensive, evidence-informed prevention education program for students in grades 6-12. Students are taught universal strategies to protect themselves from all types of victimization.
Topics that will be discussed:
- 5 Safety Rules
- Abuse (sexual, physical, emotional, & neglect)
- Sex Trafficking and Exploitation
- Bullying/Cyberbullying
- Healthy vs. Unhealthy Relationships
Lesson Duration:
The curriculum includes two lessons for each grade level. Below are the times for each individual lesson:
- 6th-12th grade: 55 minutes
*Upon request, lessons can be divided into four, 30-minute lessons.
Materials & Resources
- Easy to follow facilitator scripts for each lesson.
- PowerPoint presentations that are interactive and engaging for students.
- Handouts for students and parents/guardians.
- Online training options for facilitator certification.
