The Cortland County Child Advocacy Center supports youth and their families in the Cortland County area. Our team of compassionate and knowledgeable staff members offer a range of services and specialized focus for victims of child abuse and human trafficking.

The Advocacy Center offers a safe and child-friendly atmosphere where our advocates and partner agencies can work together in supporting victims and putting an end to child abuse in our area.

Professionals collaborate with family, advocates, and partner agencies at the Advocacy Center to improve the investigative process in a way that minimizes trauma for children.

From crisis, all the way through proactive and preventative measures, compassionate team members are dedicated to the mission of the organization to prevent, educate, and investigate child abuse.

Our vision is a child-focused center that facilitates a compassionate multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment of child abuse so that child victims of alleged sexual and physical abuse can feel safe and will be provided with support to enable their healing process.

 

CHILD ADVOCACY

The role of a child advocate during a crisis covers many depths and dimensions including physical, emotional, and legal supports. The Cortland County Child Advocacy Center provides a coordinated response from trained professionals to quickly and compassionately implement a plan of action.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING

The Cortland County Child Advocacy Center works with County and Statewide agencies to increase awareness in our area. The Safe Harbour program provides comprehensive support to victims of commercial sexual exploitation. Commercial sexual exploitation is when anyone buys, trades, or sells sexual acts with a child.
