Building Healthy Relationships
Building Healthy Relationships- UPK or Special Request
This powerful curriculum addresses the issues of sexual harassment, bullying, respect and healthy relationships in ways that are educational and entertaining for students in Pre-K. The curriculum lends itself to modification so that facilitators are able to accommodate youth with special needs.
It emphasizes the principles prescribed by the New York State’s Dignity for All Students Act, which “seeks to provide the State’s public elementary and secondary school students with a safe and supportive environment free from discrimination, intimidation, taunting, harassment, and bullying on school property, a school bus, or at a school function.”
Some of the lessons discuss topics such as:
- Self Identity and Respect
- Feelings and Coping
- Personal Safety
- Pinwheels For Prevention
These are just some of the topics we have covered, but we can also focus on other issues that you are facing in your school or classroom.
Pinwheels For Prevention
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Pinwheels represent our commitment to happy, healthy, and safe childhoods.
Schedule a time for our educator to visit your classroom to make paper pinwheels with the students and plant blue and silver pinwheels in front of your building.
